A proud Tasmanian, Kate Moss (not the model kind) is the Owner and Creative Director behind This Vacant Space. An interiors studio with a simple ethos; to enrich peoples day-to-day through confident, personalised design.

Celebrating colour, texture and innovative solutions, our focus is on creating considered and layered spaces that go deeper than the selection of beautiful furnishings or decor.

Where no two homes are the same, neither are two families and we believe it is a greater understanding in to how people live and attention to detail that will result in a space you never want to leave. It is the balance between functionality and contrasts and highlighting the beauty in the process. From us you will get pieces that have been thoughtfully sourced and curated to create a space that develops from a feeling rather than following trends and ultimately, tells your story.

Alongside being a Content Editor for Adore Magazine, the other side to This Vacant Space is creating unique styled imagery for architects, builders and creatives who want to produce beautiful editorial content for publication purposes. Kate’s aim is to build a collaborative design community in Tassie, embodying approachable solutions to make design accessible, affordable and always fun!
